Maple

First up is Maple. This wood is often describes as being quite plain looking due to its straight grain but this pale wood which varies in colour from creamy looking to a variety of attractive grey tones is incredibly popular and extremely durable.

Oak

Oak is a popular and economical choice and this dense hardwood absorbs stains and varnishes wonderfully well.

Pippy Oak

Pippy oak is often referred to as ‘cat’s paw oak’ due to the beautiful patterns, knots and clusters that make each piece so unique.

Tulipwood

This exotic wood is hard and heavy. This wood tends to be straw coloured with hints of pink and red .

Walnut

Who can resist Walnut Wood? Strong, hard and durable, this versatile wood is a dream to work with and colours range from dark chocolate brown to lighter tones.

Cherry Wood

Cherry is favoured for its warm, rich tones which over time become darker in colour and even more beautiful!

Ash

Hard and heavy with a prominent grain similar in appearance to Oak but usually much paler in colour.
