The latest kitchen created by GRK is this stunning, contemporary ‘Chef’s Kitchen’.This light and airy room has bi-fold doors linking the inside and outside spaces effectively.
Each area of the inside space has a different design element, making it both eclectic and functional for its owner who is a professional chef. Because the functionality is central to the design of this kitchen, it was designed to be as easy as possible to clean and maintain as well as beautiful in its appearance.
The cabinets and island unit are built with a combination of tulip and oak wood and have either a Danish oil or painted finish. White walls provide a perfect backdrop for the colours used on the cabinetry and maximise the light in the room. The central kitchen island has a Silestone Quartz worktop and tapered legs. This unit houses a great deal of useful storage and key details include bespoke chrome cup handles and stripes painted within the oak veneered concealed doors which open effortlessly when pushed.
The remaining units are housed under a stainless steel worktop with a ‘sunk’ sink and a built in drainer. The sink boasts a Monobloc tap and an energy efficient, economical Quooker tap which dispenses boiling water on demand in addition to hot and cold water.
Perhaps the most striking feature of the room is the large painted larder unit which houses the fridge and also provides plenty of storage space for the owners.
Floating shelves with under lighting were installed, to enable the owners to display items they wanted to have on view.
George was given free reign with this particular design – the clients completely trusted his judgement and skill, and both he and they are completely bowled over by the results.
